King Water employees have the right to enter a member’s property during reasonable hours to perform meter reading, maintenance, testing, installation or removal of PLWA’s property.
Members may ask King Water employees to identify themselves as such.
Members should not expect King Water employees either to seek permission to enter their property or to announce their presence by knocking on a member’s door, especially when they are conducting routine tasks such as water meter readings or collecting water samples.
This policy is modeled after WAC 480-110-305 Access to premises
“Authorized personnel of a water company have the right to enter a customer’s property during reasonable hours to perform meter reading, maintenance, testing, installation or removal of the company’s property. Customers may ask to see the identification of the water company personnel before allowing entry to the customer’s property.”
